Our Favorite Exterior Detailing Products for 2024

Customers often ask what product we used to get their wheels so clean, or how did we get the paint so smooth and shiny. The truth is that we use mostly Gyeon products, since we are a Gyeon certified company, but I’ll do my best to list my favorite products in the mobile rig, as well as the top products you need to take care of your car at home!

Snow Foam

  • We go back and forth between Koch Chemie Gentle Snow Foam (GSF) and Gyeon Foam. Both provide a fantastic pre wash, lubrication, and also a great scent.

Soap

  • My go to is Gyeon Bathe. It’s highly concentrated and comes in a cool pump bottle. A little goes a long way, and you can feel a massive difference in lubrication versus cheaper products!

Wheel Cleaner

  • No surprise, I always grab Gyeon Wheel Cleaner with Iron. Strong enough to cut through the dirtiest wheels, but gentle and safe to use on ceramic coated wheels. I agitate the cleaner with a Max Shine and Gyeon brushes.

All Purpose Cleaner (APC)

  • APC can be used for tires, wheel arches, heavy traffic film, stubborn bugs, exhaust residue, and much much more. I use Koch Chemie Green Star, which comes as a concentrate and is extremely affordable. This is probably our most used chemical!

Paint Sealants

  • I’m sure you see a theme of everything being Gyeon or Koch Chemie by now…well the first product I grab for quick and effective paint protection is Gyeon WetCoat. This gets used on paint, glass, wheels, literally every exterior surface.

  • Gyeon Cure is another amazing ceramic sealant. Our Pro packages receive WetCoat, and then a layer of Cure on top after the drying process.

  • A runner up that I always go back to, P&S Beadmaker, one of the most legendary detailing products ever. If you want something to be shiny and slick, use Beadmaker.

Glass Cleaner

  • Gyeon Glass is amazing, but so is the classic glass cleaner from Sprayway. You might even have some of that laying around the house…if you don’t, you should! It’s amazing for any glass surface.

Quick Detailer

  • Optimum No Rinse (ONR) is another detailing product of legend. We keep this stuff diluted in a spray bottle for quick touch ups, door jambs, or missed spots in our last walk-around inspection. I got a gallon of this stuff several years ago and am not even halfway through. A little goes a long way!

Tire Shine

  • Back to Gyeon…we use Gyeon Tire Express for pretty much every tire. One coat, let dry, then buff off for a satin shine. Slap on another layer if you want high gloss!

Others

  • Gyeon Bug & Grime for removing bugs…and grime

  • Gyeon Tar for melting tar right off of your vehicle. This stuff is nuts!

Now, which products do you need in your home arsenal?

From this list, you should have the following

  • Gyeon Bathe

  • Gyeon Tar

  • Gyeon Bug and Grime

  • Gyeon Wheel Cleaner with Iron

  • Gyeon Tire Express

This along with a good wash mitt and drying towel will have you on your way to a very clean and happy car! Never hesitate to contact us to ask general detailing questions!
