Service.

By booking a service with SM.AutoDetailing, you agree to the terms below. Read them carefully — they're written to be clear and fair, not buried in legalese.

Acceptance of Terms

By booking a service with SM.AutoDetailing ("we," "us," "our"), you ("client," "customer") agree to these Terms of Service in full. If you do not agree, please do not book our services.

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after updates means you accept the revised terms.

Services Provided

SM.AutoDetailing provides mobile vehicle detailing on-site at the customer's location. Services include but are not limited to:

  • Exterior hand washing and paint care
  • Interior cleaning, vacuuming, and surface treatment
  • Steam cleaning and shampoo extraction
  • Wax, paint sealant, and ceramic coating applications
  • Fabric protection and odor treatment
  • Express maintenance services

Service Area

We serve San Mateo County and the SF Peninsula including: San Mateo, Burlingame, Redwood City, San Carlos, Belmont, Foster City, Hillsborough, Menlo Park, Atherton, Emerald Hills, Half Moon Bay, Highlands, San Francisco, and surrounding areas.

Services outside this area may be available with additional travel fees. Contact us to confirm availability.

Booking & Scheduling

Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or by text. We aim to respond to all inquiries the same day (Mon–Sun, 9 AM – 7 PM).

An appointment is confirmed only once we respond with confirmation. No time slot is reserved until that point.

Site Requirements

As a mobile service, we require the following at your location:

  • Access to a working water source (functional hose connection)
  • Access to an electrical outlet
  • Safe, legal, and accessible space to perform the work

It is the customer's responsibility to confirm these are available before the appointment. If we cannot perform the service due to lack of water, power, or access, a cancellation fee may apply.

Pre-Service Walkthrough

Before starting, we photograph the vehicle and conduct a walk-around for documentation. When the customer is present, we encourage their participation.

Customers are responsible for notifying us of any pre-existing damage, scratches, dents, paint chips, or mechanical issues before service begins.

SM.AutoDetailing is not responsible for any pre-existing damage, whether disclosed or not. Our pre-service photos serve as the official record of your vehicle's condition at arrival.

Damage During Service
Simple rule: if we cause it, we cover it. Our walkthrough and photos exist so any new damage can be fairly identified and addressed.

For this to apply:

  • Damage must be reported before we leave, or as soon as reasonably noticed
  • Damage must be clearly distinct from the pre-service condition in our documentation
  • Liability is limited to the direct cost of repair for the affected area — not rental cars, lost time, or consequential expenses
  • Reports made days later without clear documentation cannot be fairly verified and may not be covered

We treat every vehicle with care. If something goes wrong on our end, we make it right.

Personal Items

Remove all personal items, valuables, electronics, and documents from the vehicle before service.

SM.AutoDetailing is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or misplaced personal items left in the vehicle during service.

Quality Guarantee

We stand behind our work. Every service is performed with care and we don't consider a job complete until we're confident in the result.

If you're not satisfied, notify us as soon as possible. We'll review the issue and work toward a fair resolution — which may include touch-ups, redoing specific areas, or other case-by-case remedies.

Payment Terms

Payment is due in full upon completion of service. We accept:

  • Cash
  • Credit / Debit Card
  • Zelle
  • Check

Failure to pay may result in additional fees and may disqualify the customer from future services.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid fees. Cancellations under 24 hours or no-shows may be subject to a fee at our discretion.

Weather Policy

Services may be rescheduled due to rain, heavy weather, or unsafe outdoor conditions. We'll notify you as early as possible and work with you to find a new time at no extra cost.

Refunds & Satisfaction

We do not have a formal refund policy — each situation is handled case by case. If you have a concern, reach out promptly and we'll work toward a fair resolution. Refunds are not guaranteed but will be considered based on circumstances.

Photography & Marketing

We may photograph or video your vehicle and the work performed for social media, marketing, or portfolio use. We do not photograph license plates, VINs, or personal documents.

Don't want your vehicle featured? Just let us know before or at the start of service. Opting out has zero impact on service quality or pricing.

Limitation of Liability

Except as noted in Section 7, SM.AutoDetailing's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including rental car expenses, lost time, or loss of use. By booking our services, you agree to these limitations.

Changes to These Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. The "Last Updated" date will reflect any changes. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
